Accuracy you can rely on
Accuracy is decided before take-off. We plan the mission (grid, double grid or linear corridor), the ground sampling distance and the overlap according to the deliverables you need, and we measure ground control and check points with GNSS RTK receivers. Our RTK drones and independent check points let us document the result: on standard projects the mean error stays below 5 cm, and we can agree tighter tolerances for special jobs.
Every survey comes with a precision report, so your engineers know exactly what the model can be used for.

Photogrammetry is ideal for open areas and gives you colour imagery as well. If you need the bare ground under trees, choose a LiDAR survey.

How accurate is a drone survey?
With RTK drones and ground control points the mean error stays below 5 cm. For special projects we agree the required accuracy in advance.
Which files do I receive?
Orthophoto (GeoTIFF), point cloud (LAS), DEM/DSM, 3D model and contour lines, in the coordinate system you specify.
How long does it take?
The flight takes from a few hours to a day; processing usually a few days, depending on the size of the area.
Photogrammetry or LiDAR?
Photogrammetry is ideal for open areas and also gives colour images. Where there is vegetation and you need the terrain under the trees, LiDAR is the better choice.
Do I need a permit to fly a drone there?
Almost always for professional work. Italy publishes its drone geographical zones on D-Flight, the official portal: airports, heliports, military areas, parks and sensitive sites. Outside the Open category, and inside most of these zones, you need an authorisation or an airspace reservation (ENAC procedure ATM-09A). We check the exact spot, file the requests and always inform the Local Police and the Prefecture, so the shoot is not stopped halfway.
